Abstract | To provide an illumination device that has suppressed uneven brightness while reducing the number of light sources.SOLUTION: An illumination device 20 includes: a plurality of LEDs 22 aligned in a row: a first light guide plate 30 having a first light incident face 30A, a light emission face 30B, and a first light diffusion part 35 having a diffusion function for refracting light in a direction intersecting with the direction that the LEDs 22 are aligned; and a second light guide plate 40 having a second light incident face 40A, a second light emission face 40B, and a second light diffusion part 45 having a diffusion function for refracting light in a direction along the alignment direction when viewed from a normal direction of the second light emission face 40B. The second light diffusion part 45 includes a plurality of first lenses having a ridge line extending in an intersecting direction that intersects with the alignment direction, and an inclined part forming an angle of 35° to 55° with respect to the normal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
