Abstract To provide an optical element, in which when a polarizing plate obtained by combining with a polarizer is applied to a display element, well-defined black at visual recognition time from a front direction in a black display is given, a laminate, a display device, and a manufacturing method of the optical element.SOLUTION: An optical element comprises: an optical anisotropy layer; and an optical isotropic member.
