Abstract | To restrain discomfort given to a resident in a room.SOLUTION: An indoor unit (3) for an air conditioner (1) performing at least one of a cooling operation and a dehumidification operation includes a heat exchanger (31), a casing (41), and a control unit (30). The heat exchanger (31) exchanges heat between indoor air and a refrigerant and generates conditioned air. Blowout ports (46, 46a, 46b) for blowing out the conditioned air are formed in the casing (41). The control unit (30) controls a wind direction of the air blown out of the blowout port (46a). The control unit (30) controls so that the wind direction is directed to a direction of an area with no people during low load operation in which a load of the cooling operation or the dehumidification operation is equal to or lower than a prescribed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
