Abstract To provide a recovery method of a titanium component containing a low calcium content in the resulting recovery titanium component or titanium oxide even when using calcium hydroxide as a neutralizer, and to provide a manufacturing method of titanium oxide thereof, according to the method of recovering the titanium component or the method of manufacturing titanium oxide, from a waste solution containing a titanium compound.SOLUTION: A method of recovering a titanium component from a waste solution containing a titanium compound, comprises: a step (1) of subjecting the titanium component to hydrolysis treatment by bringing the waste solution containing the titanium component into contact with water; and a step (2) of applying primary neutralization treatment of adding calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide as a neutralizer to treating liquid of the waste solution subjected to the hydrolysis treatment so as to bring pH to 1.5 or more and 2.5 or less, and subsequently applying secondary neutralization treatment of adding calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide as a neutralizer thereof to the treating liquid subjected to the primary neutralization treatment so as to bring pH to 2.5 or more and 5.9 or less, in order to obtain titanium hydroxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【解決課題】チタン化合物を含む排液から、チタン成分を回収する方法又は酸化チタンを製造方法において、中和剤として、水酸化カルシウムを用いても、得られる回収チタン成分又は酸化チタン中のカルシウム含有量が少ないチタン成分の回収方法又は酸化チタンの製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】チタン化合物を含む排液からチタン成分を回収する方法であって、該チタン化合物を含む排液を水と接触させ、チタン化合物を加水分解処理する工程(1)と、加水分解処理を施した排液の処理液に対し、pHが1.5以上2.5未満になるように中和剤として水酸化カルシウム又は酸化カルシウムを加える一次中和処理を施し、次いで、該一次中和処理を施した処理液に対し、pHが2.5以上5.9以下になるように中和剤として水酸化カルシウム又は酸化カルシウムを加える二次中和処理を施し、水酸化チタンを得る工程(2)と、を有すること、を特徴とするチタン成分の回収方法。【選択図】図1
