Summary:To provide a vehicle and a server capable of continuously performing vehicle-to-vehicle communication based on an electronic certificate while maintaining a high security level even when a scheduled travel route of a vehicle includes an area where network communication is not possible.SOLUTION: A vehicle stores an electronic certificate of an own vehicle to be used for inter-vehicle communication, receives, from a server, information on an area where network communication is not possible on a planned travel route of the own vehicle, obtains the electronic certificate from the server before the own vehicle starts traveling and stores the electronic certificate in a volatile storage area of a storage unit, and obtains, from the server, a new electronic certificate in which a validity period is renewed and stores the electronic certificate in a nonvolatile storage area of the storage unit before the own vehicle enters the area where network communication is not possible when the own vehicle approaches the area where network communication is not possible after the vehicle starts running.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車両の走行予定ルートにネットワーク通信不可エリアが含まれている場合でも、高いセキュリティレベルを維持して、電子証明書に基づく車車間通信を継続して行うことできる車両及びサーバを提供する。【解決手段】車両は、車車間通信に用いる自車両の電子証明書を記憶し、自車両の走行予定ルートにおけるネットワーク通信不可エリアの情報をサーバから受信し、自車両の走行開始前に電子証明書をサーバから取得して記憶部の揮発性記憶領域に保存し、自車両の走行開始後、自車両がネットワーク通信不可エリアに近づいたとき、自車両がネットワーク通信不可エリアに進入する前に、有効期間が新たに設定された新規の電子証明書をサーバから取得して記憶部の不揮発性記憶領域に保存する。【選択図】図1
