To provide a multi-functional printer that can improve operability and reduce its size in the vertical direction.SOLUTION: A multi-functional printer 1 comprises: an image reading unit 2; an image forming unit 5; a lower housing 50 that accommodates the image forming unit 5; and an upper housing 20 that accommodates the image reading unit 2. The upper housing 20 is connected with the lower housing 50 at a rear end 20B and can rotate between a placement position and an elevated position. The upper housing 20 has an operation panel 10 projecting frontward beyond a front wall part 20F. An undersurface 20D of the upper housing 20 has a contact and separation part 25 that is in contact with the lower housing 50 with the upper housing 20 being at the placement position and is separated from the lower housing 50 with the upper housing 20 being at the elevated position. A panel undersurface 10D of the operation panel 10 has a groove 70 that is depressed upward.
