Abstract | To ensure both packing characteristic and resistivity of a positive electrode active material layer.SOLUTION: A positive electrode 10 is used for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. The positive electrode 10 includes a positive electrode substrate 11 and a positive electrode active material layer 12. The positive electrode active material layer 12 is disposed on a surface of the positive electrode substrate 11. The positive electrode active material layer 12 includes a first layer 1 and a second layer 2. The second layer 2 is disposed between the positive electrode substrate 11 and the first layer 1. The first layer 1 includes a first positive electrode active material. The first positive electrode active material includes first aggregated particles mc1. The second layer 2 includes a second positive electrode active material.The second positive electrode active material includes second aggregated particles mc2 and single-particles sc2. Each of the first aggregated particles mc1 and the second aggregated particles mc2 is formed by aggregation of 50 or more primary particles.
