Abstract | To provide a method that can produce a halopropyl halosilane compound with a small amount of catalyst.SOLUTION: A method includes reacting a hydrosilane compound represented by formula (2) with a halogenated allyl in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst (dichloro(1,5-cyclooctadiene)platinum (II) or Karstedt catalyst) and an organic solvent at a temperature of 45°C or higher to synthesize the corresponding halopropyl halosilane compound.
