Abstract | To provide a circuit breaker which can more surely extinguish an arc.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker 10 includes: a pair of rod-like members 34 which are interlocked to a mover 20 and have mutually approaching tip parts during opening operation; a plate spring 42 which connects upper ends of a pair of resin plates 36 provided on the pair of rod-like members 34 and the rod-like members 34, and is pressed by a first pressing part 20a of the mover 20 during the opening operation; and a shaft 40 which holds the plate spring 42 in any one of a first elastic deformation state of projecting upward and a second elastic deformation state of projecting downward. During the opening operation, the pair of resin plates 36 are moved between a fixing contact point 14 and a movable contact point 18, and opposite edges 36a come in contact with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
