Abstract | To provide a liquid treatment method and a liquid treatment device that can treat a refractory substance contained in a liquid of interest and degrade it into carbon dioxide and water, with higher energy efficiency than in the treatment only by electrolysis, and without causing harmful intermediate products.SOLUTION: The present invention discloses a liquid treatment method for degrading a refractory substance contained in a liquid of interest. The method includes an electrolysis step for electrolyzing the liquid of interest while injecting a gas containing at least oxygen into the liquid of interest.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
