Abstract To provide a vehicle body rear part structure capable of transmitting an impact load input from the vehicle rear side of a rear side frame to a side sill efficiently.SOLUTION: A vehicle body rear part includes a side sill 1, a rear wheel house 2, a rear side frame 3, and a closing plate 10. An outer curve part 40o and an inner curve part 40i are provided at an area close to a front part of the rear wheel house 2 of the rear side frame 3. The closing plate 10 is provided with: an outer ridge line 50o linearly extending from a position almost immediately above an area close to a rear end part of the outer curve part 40o of the rear side frame 3 to the vehicle front; and an inner ridge line 50i which extends curving to the vehicle front side roughly along the inner curve part 40i at a position almost immediately above the inner curve part 40i of the rear side frame 3.
