Abstract | To provide an image capturing lens which meets the needs of users by securing a certain level of brightness and a wide angle of view while realizing higher performance and reduced size.SOLUTION: An image capturing lens provided herein comprises a front lens group Gf consisting of two positive lenses Mpa, Mpb and at least two negative lenses Mna, Mnb, etc., and a rear lens group Gr consisting of, in order from the object OBJ side, a cemented lens Jx consisting of a biconcave lens Nna and a biconvex lens Npa, a positive lens Npb, a negative lens Nnb, and a negative single lens Nnc, and is configured to satisfy conditions expressed as: 2.00<(LT/fa)<2.25, 0.4<(f2/LT)<1.6, nd>1.83, where f2 represents a focal length of the rear lens group Gr, fa represents a focal length of the entire lens system, LT represents a distance from a lens surface (i=1) on the most object OBJ side to the image IMG plane, and nd represents a refractive index of the two positive lenses Mpa, Mpb of the front group Gf for the d-ray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
