Abstract To provide a battery monitoring device in which the timing of performing failure determination of a discharge circuit can be increased and a failure detection rate of the discharge circuit can be improved.SOLUTION: A battery monitoring device 1 including discharge circuits 3 for discharging battery cells C by turning on discharge switches 3a, and an equalization processing unit 4a for controlling the discharge circuits 3 includes: a temperature sensor 5 that detects an actual temperature that changes due to the discharge of the battery cells C; and a failure determination unit 4c that determines the failure of the discharge circuit based on the compared result between an estimated temperature estimated based on control information of the discharge circuits 3 and the actual temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】電池監視装置において、放電回路の故障判定を実施するタイミングを増やし、放電回路の故障検出率を向上させる可能とする。【解決手段】放電スイッチ3aをオン状態とすることで電池セルCに放電させる放電回路3と、放電回路3を制御する均等化処理部4aとを備える電池監視装置1であって、電池セルCの放電によって変化する実温度を検出する温度センサ5と、放電回路3の制御情報に基づいて推定された推定温度と実温度との比較結果に基づいて放電回路の故障を判定する故障判定部4cとを備える。【選択図】図1
