Abstract To quickly extinguish an arc while preventing an increase in weight of a movable contact piece in an electromagnetic relay.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic relay comprises: a stationary terminal; a movable contact piece; a driving device; and arc guide. The stationary terminal includes a stationary contact. The movable contact piece includes a movable contact that can be in contact with the stationary contact. The driving device moves the movable contact piece to a closed position where the movable contact is in contact with the stationary contact and an open position where the movable contact is opened from the stationary contact. The arc guide is a separate body from the movable contact piece.
