Summary: | To provide a paste for joining which has low viscosity, and with which a joined body excellent in coating adaptability, in viscosity stability over time, and in initial and after thermal cycle test joining strength can be formed.SOLUTION: A paste for joining contains metal particles (A) coated with an organic constituent (a), a dispersion medium (B) and a resin (C), and contains 0.015-1.4 mass% of the resin (C). In the metal particles (A), a particle size (d1) corresponding to 1% of cumulative particle diameter distribution is 30-200 nm, a particle size (d50) corresponding to 50% thereof is 100-350 nm, and a particle size (d99) corresponding to 99% thereof is 300-900 nm, an extrapolation ending temperature (Te) of an exothermic peak of the highest temperature side of the metal particles (A) measured by differential thermal analysis is 200-300°C, and when a mass of the metal particles (A) at an extrapolation starting temperature (Ts) of an exothermic peak of the lowest temperature side of the metal particles (A) is set to be 100 mass%, the mass reduction ratio of the metal particles (A) at Te is 0.2-5 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
