Summary:To provide a catalytic hydrogenation method and a catalytic hydrogenation apparatus that achieve efficient contact between a catalyst and hydrogen.SOLUTION: A catalytic hydrogenation method conducts catalytic hydrogenation by releasing hydrogen from a hydrogen releasing member installed in a reaction liquid containing a catalyst and a reactant. The hydrogen releasing member has a cavity part and a hydrogen introducing part to introduce hydrogen to the cavity part. Hydrogen is introduced to the cavity part of the hydrogen releasing member and dissolved into the wall of the hydrogen releasing member.
