Abstract | To provide a small lens protection device capable of opening and closing a two-direction protection cover without using a stepping motor.SOLUTION: A lens protection device of the present invention includes a housing and first and second slide covers. The housing includes an opening and at least one coupling portion. The first slide cover includes a first cover plate, a first coupling rod, and first and second magnets. The second slide cover includes a second cover plate and a second coupling rod. Rotation of the first and second coupling rods moves the first and second cover plates. The first magnet is provided at a front end of the first cover plate, and attracts a front end of the second cover plate when approaching it. The second magnet is provided at a rear end of the first cover plate, and attracts a rear end of the second cover plate when approaching it. When the first cover plate moves in a first direction, the first and second cover plates shield the opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
