Abstract | To set an appropriate temperature range when detecting a loose tile from a thermal image of a tile wall surface.SOLUTION: A temperature range setting apparatus sets upper limit candidates and lower limit candidates of a temperature of a thermal image of a tile wall surface to generate an emphasized image, executes edge detection processing on the emphasized image to generate an edge image, executes matching processing on the edge image by using a rectangular template which represents a tile, to generate a tile image including a plurality of rectangular tiles, repeats generating the emphasized image, generating the edge image, and generating the tile image. The upper limit candidates and the lower limit candidates of the temperature to be obtained when the number of tiles included in the generated tile images reaches a predetermined threshold are acquired as an upper limit and a lower limit of the temperature for generating the emphasized image. In generating the emphasized image, for an acquired thermal image, the acquired upper limit and lower limit of the temperature are set to the temperature of the thermal image, to generate the emphasized image of the thermal image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
