Summary: | To immediately avoid DoS attacks without depending on the load status of ECU and the increase in communication traffic due to DoS attacks.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system includes a vehicle control device having a processor and a memory, an out-of-vehicle communication device, and a gateway device for relaying communication between the vehicle control device and the out-of-vehicle communication device. The vehicle control device includes a first network that connects the out-of-vehicle communication device, the gateway device and the vehicle control device to perform communication related to vehicle control, and a second network that connects the out-of-vehicle communication device, the gateway device and the vehicle control device to perform communication related to status monitoring. The vehicle control device includes a vehicle control unit that receives information from the out-of-vehicle communication device via the first network to control the vehicle, and a status monitoring unit that monitors the load information of the vehicle control unit and performs a process to detect attacks based on unauthorized communication independently of the vehicle control unit.
