Abstract To provide a smell detection device, a smell detection method, and a program, which can suppress variations in accuracy of a measurement result.SOLUTION: A smell detection device 1 includes a smell sensor 10, environment information measurement means 11 and 12, smell information collection means 20, difference information acquisition means 21, and correction means 22. The smell sensor 10 detects information on a smell generated from a smell generation source 2. The environment information measurement means 11 and 12 measure environment information having correlation with a water vapor content contained in an ambient gas. The difference information acquisition means 21 acquires a difference water vapor content indicating a difference between environment information on the surroundings of the smell sensor 10 and environment information on the surroundings of the smell generation source 2.
