To provide a packaging machine suppressing jamming of a packaged object.SOLUTION: A vertical bag making packaging machine has a former and a pulldown belt mechanism. The former forms a sheet-like packaging material into a cylindrical shape. The pull-down belt mechanism has a pull-down belt for transforming the packaging material. The former includes a sailor 21 and a winding part 22. The sailor 21 folds back the sheet-like packaging material into a cylindrical shape. The winding part 22 is vertically extended and the packaging material winds around the winding part. The winding part 22 has a guide part 221 and a funnel part 222. The guide part 221 is positioned inside the cylindrical packaging material, and guides the packaging material. The funnel part 222 extends upward from the guide part 221. The guide part 221 has a notch 22a positioned near a boundary X with the funnel part 222. In a vertical cross sectional shape of the notch 22a, more than a half of the cross sectional shape in top view of the boundary X of the guide part 221 and the funnel part 222 is notched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】被包装物の詰まりを抑制する。【解決手段】縦型製袋包装機は、フォーマと、プルダウンベルト機構とを備える。フォーマは、シート状の包材を筒状に成形する。プルダウンベルト機構は、包材を搬送するプルダウンベルトを有する。フォーマは、セーラ２１と、巻き付け部２２とを含む。セーラ２１は、シート状の包材を筒状に折り返す。巻き付け部２２は、上下方向に延び、包材が周囲に巻き付く。巻き付け部２２は、案内部２２１と、漏斗部２２２とを有する。案内部２２１は、筒状の包材の内側に位置し、包材を案内する。漏斗部２２２は、案内部２２１から上に向かって延びる。案内部２２１は、漏斗部２２２との境界Ｘ近傍に位置する切欠部２２ａを有する。切欠部２２ａの上下方向に垂直な断面形状は、案内部２２１と漏斗部２２２との境界Ｘの上面視の断面形状の半分以上が切り欠かれている。【選択図】図３
