Summary:To appropriately start pre-fill control (pre-load control).SOLUTION: When a preceding vehicle is detected and vehicle velocity Vn is less than pre-fill execution vehicle velocity Vpre, driving support ECU 10 calculates TT target inter-vehicle X (=inter-vehicle deviation ΔD/preceding vehicle relative velocity Vr). The TT target inter-vehicle X represents a temporal allowance required for the inter-vehicle distance to reach a target inter-vehicle distance.
