Summary:To provide a switched reluctance motor capable of continuing an operation in the occurrence of defect.SOLUTION: A switched reluctance motor comprises: a motor part (100) having a stator (110) having a projection pole (111), a rotor (120) having a projection pole (121), and a winding (112) with a plurality of phases, wound to the projection pole (111) of the stator (110); a switching part (300) supplying an excitation current to the winding (112) with the plurality of phases by conducting a switching element (SW); and a control part (200) controlling a conduction state of the switching element (SW). Each winding is structured by including a first winding (112u1, 112v1, and 112w1), and a second winding (112u2, 112v2, and 112w2).
