To provide a method of redefining, redesigning and reconstructing an ecosystem by backcasting, and to provide an information management system for improving an economical value of a land with a low economic value by reconstructing the ecosystem by backcasting.SOLUTION: Regarding states before reconstructing ecosystems and ecosystems of induction targets obtained by reconstructing the ecosystems by backcasting, information relating to the respective states and information relating to economical values thereof are respectively stored in an ecological information DB 2550 and a value information DB 2530.
