To provide an absorber manufacturing method that securely consumes water-absorbing polymer particles removed and collected to suppress progress in atomization.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method performs in parallel a process of manufacturing a first absorbent core including first water-absorbing polymers 3P and a process of manufacturing a second absorbent core including second water-absorbing polymers and manufactures an absorber 1 by stacking the first absorbent core 3 and the second absorbent core 4 obtained by the processes. The process of manufacturing the first absorbent core includes a process of continuously supplying first water-absorbing polymers 3P. The process of manufacturing the second absorbent core includes a process of continuously supplying second water-absorbing polymers 4P and, at the same time, periodically removing continuously supplied second water-absorbing polymers in the middle of supply to intermittently supply second water-absorbing polymers to a base material sheet. The second water-absorbing polymers 4P removed in the process of manufacturing the second absorbent core is collected and carried, as collected second water-absorbing polymers 4P1, to a continuous supply process in the process of manufacturing the first absorbent core.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】吸収体の製造方法において、排除・回収された吸水性ポリマーの粒子を確実に消費して、微粒化の進行を抑制すること。【解決手段】本製造方法は、第１吸水性ポリマー３Ｐを含む第１吸収コアの製造工程と、第２吸水性ポリマーを含む第２吸収コアの製造工程とを並行して行い、それによって得られた第１吸収コア３と第２吸収コア４とを積層して吸収体１を製造する方法である。第１吸収コアの製造工程は第１吸水性ポリマー３Ｐの連続供給工程を含み、第２吸収コアの製造工程は第２吸水性ポリマー４Ｐを連続供給しつつ、連続供給される第２吸水性ポリマーを供給途中で周期的に除去して第２吸水性ポリマーを基材シートに間欠供給する工程を含む。第２吸収コアの製造工程において除去された第２吸水性ポリマー４Ｐを回収して、回収第２吸水性ポリマー４Ｐ１として第１吸収コアの製造工程における連続供給工程に搬送する。【選択図】図４
