Abstract | To provide a microporous multilayer separator membrane which contains one or more polypropylene layers and polyethylene layers, which has sufficient tensile and/or mechanical strength and which has low pin removal force that may enable high production yield rates in a battery cell winding process.SOLUTION: A microporous polyolefin lithium battery separator includes a dry process microporous multilayer laminated separator membrane.
