Abstract To provide a thermoelectric power generation system that effectively achieves both of waste heat recovery and temperature rising at the time of regenerating an aftertreatment device.SOLUTION: A thermoelectric power generation system comprises: an aftertreatment device that is provided in an exhaust system of an engine to control emission of exhaust gas; a first thermoelectric element 11 that includes a high-temperature side metal plate part disposed on an outer peripheral side of the aftertreatment device or on an upstream side of the aftertreatment device to be capable of transmitting waste heat, and a low-temperature side metal plate part disposed on an outer peripheral side of the high-temperature side metal plate part, and that can generate electric power with a temperature difference caused between the high-temperature side metal plate part and the low-temperature side metal plate part; and an auxiliary control part 140 that, at the time of regeneration control for raising temperature of exhaust gas flowing in the aftertreatment device to recover emission control capability of the aftertreatment device, and executes auxiliary control for supplying electric power to the first thermoelectric element 11 to cause the high-temperature side metal plate part to generate heat to heat the aftertreatment device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】廃熱回収と後処理装置の再生時の昇温を効果的に両立させる熱電発電システムを提供する。【解決手段】エンジンの排気系に設けられており、排気を浄化する後処理装置と、後処理装置の外周側、又は、後処理装置よりも上流側に排気からの廃熱を伝達可能に配置される高温側金属板部と、高温側金属板部の外周側に配置される低温側金属板部と、を含み、高温側金属板部と低温側金属板部とに生じる温度差により発電可能な第1熱電素子11と、後処理装置に流入する排気の温度を上昇させて、後処理装置の浄化能力を回復させる再生制御時に、電力を第1熱電素子11に供給することにより高温側金属板部を発熱させ、後処理装置を加熱する補助制御を実施する補助制御部140と、を備える。【選択図】図3
