Abstract To detect termination of operation of a vehicle by detecting the switching to a storage battery from a main power supply device in a vehicle operation recording device externally provided with an auxiliary storage battery.SOLUTION: A vehicle operation recording system includes: a vehicle operation recording device that operates while receiving supply of driving power; a main power supply device capable of supplying the driving power at a predetermined voltage to the vehicle operation recording device while receiving power supplied from a power source provided on a vehicle; and an auxiliary power supply device that is provided outside the vehicle operation recording device and between the vehicle operation recording device and the main power supply device and can supply driving power at a voltage different from that of the main power supply device to the vehicle operation recording device while receiving power supplied from a storage battery. The auxiliary power supply device further includes a switching unit for switching a supply source of the driving power from the main power supply device to the auxiliary power supply device when the supply of the driving power to the vehicle operation recording device from the main power supply device is stopped.
