Abstract To restrict interaction between a discharge flow and an agitation flow, even when a position in a casting direction of a discharge port of an immersion nozzle and a position in a casting direction of the electromagnetic agitation device overlap.SOLUTION: Iron cores 241, 242 are constituted to include a second region where a casting width direction (an X-axis direction) is a longer direction and a first region where the length in the casting width direction is shorter than that in the second region. A range in the casting width direction of the second region contains a range in the casting width direction of the first region. A range in the casting width direction (the X-axis direction) of the first region contains a range in a casting width direction of an immersion nozzle 230.
