To reduce occurrence of a glass powder and enable an end part of a glass plate to be detected with a camera.SOLUTION: A glass plate manufacturing method includes: a first process step S1 in which an end part GE of a glass plate G is processed with a first grind stone 1; and a second process step S2 in which the end part GE of the glass plate G, which has been subjected to the first process step S1, is polished with a second grind stone 2.
