Abstract To provide a spindle motor which secures the thickness of a base part in a land part and secures rigidness, and improves sealability by a sealing agent by securing the length of an open hole provided in the base part for inserting a lead wire.SOLUTION: A base part 101 has an annular recessed part 101b accommodating at least a part of a flange part 113 in an axial direction, an open hole 120 into which a lead wire 105 drawn from a coil 104 arranged further inside in a radial direction than the annular recessed part 101b is inserted, and a first recessed part 101c accommodating a flexible printed board 20 and the lead wire 105 in the axial direction.
