Summary:To provide a parking support device that executes travelling support processing for supporting travelling of a vehicle to a target parking position and executes collision avoidance processing when detecting an obstacle while executing the travelling support processing, which can detect an obstacle when the vehicle is travelling backward to the target parking position, while executing the travelling support processing, so as to be able to avoid a travelling route leading to the target parking position from getting complicated.SOLUTION: The parking support device includes a backward-travelling section in which a vehicle travels backward to reach a target parking position and a forward-travelling section in which the vehicle travels forward to reach a starting point of the backward-travelling section, which obtains a target-travelling route so that a distance to a specific area, an area where presence or absence of an obstacle cannot be confirmed when the vehicle is travelling on the forward-travelling section is not smaller than a predetermined clearance, when the vehicle travels on the backward-travelling section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】車両が目標駐車位置まで走行することを支援する走行支援処理を実行し且つ走行支援処理の実行中に障害物を検出すると衝突回避処理を実行する駐車支援装置であって、走行支援処理の実行中に車両が後進して目標駐車位置まで走行しているときに障害物が検出され、その結果、目標駐車位置に至る走行経路が複雑となることを回避できる駐車支援装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両が後進して目標駐車位置に到達する後進区間と、車両が前進して後進区間の開始地点に到達する前進区間と、を含み、車両が後進区間を走行するとき、車両が前進区間を走行しているときに障害物の有無を確認できない領域である特定領域との距離が所定の離間距離よりも小さくならないように、目標走行経路を取得する。【選択図】 図4
