Abstract | To provide aerosol delivery devices, methods of forming such devices, and elements of such devices; and more specifically, devices configured for vaporization of an aerosol precursor composition through radiant heating.SOLUTION: A control body 102 can be formed of a control body shell 101 that can include a control component 106 (e.g., a printed circuit board (PCB), an integrated circuit, a memory component, a microcontroller, or the like), a flow sensor 108, a battery 110, and an LED 112, where such components can be variably aligned. A heater used in an atomizer can be a source of electromagnetic radiation. The radiant heat source may be a laser diode or a further element suitable for providing electromagnetic radiation, and heating may be carried out within an optional chamber, where the chamber can be a radiation-trapping chamber. In some embodiments, an interior of such a chamber may be configured as a black body or as a white body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
