Abstract To provide a clutch device capable of maintaining, with a simple configuration, the state of a clutch.SOLUTION: A motor 20 comprises: a stator 21 which is fixed to a housing 12; and a rotor 23 which is provided so as to be rotatable relative to the stator 21. When supplied with electric power, the motor 20 can output torque. A reduction gear 30 can output the torque of the motor 20 after reducing it. A ball cam 2 has: a driving cam 40 which is rotated relative to the housing 12 by the torque from the reduction gear 30; and a driven cam 50 which moves relative to the housing 12 in the axial direction. A clutch 70 permits torque transmission when in an engaged state where it is engaged, and blocks torque transmission when in a disengaged state where it is not engaged. When applied with force in the axial direction from the driven cam 50, a state changing part 80 can change the state of the clutch 70.
