Summary: | To solve such a problem that the height direction dimension of a device immediately increases when a nip position between a feeding roller and a separation roller is arranged on the upper side with respect to a document guide surface.SOLUTION: An image reading device comprises: a placement tray on which a document is placed; a feeding roller; a separation roller which nips and separates the documents between the feeding roller and itself; a first feeding roller which is located on the downstream of the feeding roller; and a second feeding roller which is located on the downstream of the first feeding roller. The document conveyance path extends in the obliquely downward direction from the upstream to the downstream. The tip of the document fed from the nip position for nipping the document by the feeding roller and the separation roller goes to the lower side with respect to a common tangent of the first feeding roller and the second feeding roller. A guide surface for scooping up the tip of the document fed from the nip position and guiding the document to the downstream is provided at a position on the downstream of the nip position in the document conveyance path and on the lower side with respect to the common tangent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
【課題】給送ローラーと分離ローラーとのニップ位置を原稿案内面より上に配置すると、装置の高さ方向寸法が直ちに増大してしまう。【解決手段】画像読取装置は、原稿を載置する載置トレイと、給送ローラーと、給送ローラーとの間で原稿をニップして分離を行う分離ローラーと、給送ローラーの下流に位置する第1送りローラーと、第1送りローラーの下流に位置する第2送りローラーとを備えている。原稿搬送経路は上流から下流に向かって斜め下方向に延びており、給送ローラーと分離ローラーとにより原稿をニップするニップ位置から送り出される原稿の先端が、第1送りローラー及び第2送りローラーの共通接線より下に向かい、原稿搬送経路においてニップ位置の下流であって共通接線より下の位置に、ニップ位置から送り出された原稿の先端を掬い上げて下流に案内する案内面を備える。【選択図】図18 |
