Abstract To perform wiping to the outer side of a discharge port surface to inhibit contamination of a recording medium.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording device includes: a recording head having a discharge port surface in which discharge ports for discharging an ink are arranged and a nozzle cover protruding to a position lower than the discharge port surface and disposed at the outer side of the discharge port surface; a wiper unit capable of wiping the discharge port surface and the nozzle cover; and a moving mechanism which moves the wiper unit along the discharge port surface.
