Abstract | To prevent deviation in temperature in a circumferential direction of a fixing member.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: an endless fixing belt; a heat source that heats the fixing belt from the inside; a pressure member that is arranged opposite to the fixing belt and is brought into pressure contact with the fixing belt to form a nip part; a nip forming member that is arranged inside the fixing belt and receives a pressure applied from the pressure member to form a nip part; a bearing member that supports the nip forming member; and movable means for the heat source. The support member has, in substantially the entire area in the longitudinal direction, a bent part that surrounds the heat source moved by the movable means, and the movable means moves the position of the heat source to the bent part to change a heating area for the fixing belt and attenuates infrared light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
