Abstract To suppress occurrence of weld crack in a machine component having a weld zone.SOLUTION: A machine component 1 comprises: a first member 10 made of carbon steel; a second member 20 made of carbon steel; and a weld zone 30 connecting the first member 10 and the second member 20. The weld zone 30 contains 0.02 mass% or more and 0.25 mass% or less of carbon, 0.10 mass% or more and 1.35 mass% or less of silicon, 0.6 mass% or more and 2.25 mass% or less of Mn, and exceeding 0.3 mass% and 2.5 mass% or less of Ti, and the balance composed of iron and inevitable impurity. Phosphorus that is an inevitable impurity is 0.05 mass% or less, sulfur is 0.05 mass% or less.
