Abstract | To prevent a stereoscopic image to be displayed from becoming obscure.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image display unit (10) comprises: a light source (12); and a light guide plate (11) that forms a stereoscopic image (I) in space by using light emitted from the light source (12) and incident from an incident surface (11c). The light guide plate (11) includes auxiliary light guide units (11B, 11C, 11D) that guide light incident from the incident surface (11c) and the optical path of which is not changed by an optical path changing unit, to the direction of a space behind a plane including an emission surface (11a).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
