Abstract | To provide a rotation/linear motion mechanism that reduces a moment of inertia and shortens a cycle time by light-weighting, for example, when installed in a tip end of an arm of a scalar robot, and provide a rotation/linear motion mechanism positioning jig, a rotation/linear motion mechanism positioning method and the scalar robot.SOLUTION: A rotation/linear motion mechanism comprises: a ball screw spline shaft; a ball screw nut screwed in the ball screw spline shaft, and a ball spline nut slidably fitted in an axial direction while the rotation is regulated by the ball screw spline shaft; a main frame for rotatably supporting either one of the ball screw nut and the ball spline nut; a sub-frame for rotatably supporting either one of the other side of the ball screw nut and the ball spline nut; and a connecting member for connecting the main frame with the sub-frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
