Abstract To provide a route providing device capable of allowing parking/stopping as well as existence of an obstacle on a lane where an automatic driving vehicle travels, according to the present invention.SOLUTION: A route providing device installed in an own vehicle 12 comprises: a GPS device for acquiring location information of the own vehicle 12; a sensor for sensing surrounding environmental information; a route preparation part for preparing an avoidance route utilized by a succeeding vehicle 14 approaching the own vehicle 12, based on at least the location information and the environmental information; and a communication device for transmitting the prepared avoidance route to the succeeding vehicle 14.
