Abstract To prevent soiling of the rear of a recording sheet in a case of edge-less printing.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a liquid ejection head that is caused to reciprocally scan between a scanning start position and a scanning return position in a scanning direction perpendicular to a conveying direction of a recording sheet and that ejects liquid toward the recording sheet from at least one nozzle in at least one of a scanning forward path extending towards the scanning return position from the scanning start position and a scanning backward path extending towards the scanning start position from the scanning return position; and a control unit that controls an amount that the liquid is ejected from the nozzle, on the basis of data on an amount of liquid, which is data on an amount of liquid required for each of pixels composing an image.
