Abstract To provide a control device for an engine 1 with a supercharger as a mechanical supercharger 44 for suppressing a temporary decline in the emission performance when the operating condition of an engine body 10 transits from a low load and low rotation operation region to a low load and high rotation operation region in association with increase in engine rotation speed.SOLUTION: Control means (an ECU 100) stops a mechanical supercharger 44 and makes an air-fuel ratio in a combustion chamber 17 or a weight ratio G/F of gas to fuel in the combustion chamber 17 lean to be equal to or greater than 25 when the operating condition of the engine body 10 is in the low load and low rotation operation region, drives the mechanical supercharger 44 when the operating condition of the engine body 10 is in the low load and high rotation operation region, and sets A/F or G/F in the combustion chamber 17 to be 14.5-15.0 when the operating condition of the engine body 10 transits from the low load and low rotation region to the low load and high rotation operation region as an engine speed is higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】機械式過給機44を有する過給機付エンジン1の制御装置において、エンジン回転数の上昇に伴ってエンジン本体10の運転状態が低負荷低回転運転領域から低負荷高回転運転領域に移行したときにおけるエミッション性能の一時的な低下を抑制する。【解決手段】制御手段(ECU100)は、エンジン本体10の運転状態が低負荷低回転運転領域にあるときには、機械式過給機44を停止させ、かつ、燃焼室17内の空燃比A/F、又は、燃焼室17内におけるガスの燃料に対する重量比G/Fを、25以上のリーンにするとともに、エンジン本体10の運転状態が低負荷高回転運転領域にあるときには、機械式過給機44を駆動させ、エンジン回転数の上昇に伴ってエンジン本体10の運転状態が低負荷低回転運転領域から低負荷高回転運転領域に移行したときには、燃焼室17内のA/F又はG/Fを、14.5〜15.0にする。【選択図】図1
