Abstract | To provide a method for determining the order of power devices connected through a series string.SOLUTION: A power generation system includes a hardware processor implementing the following steps for: (i) commanding at least one of a plurality of power devices to adjust an electrical output parameter; (ii) instructing at least one transmission power device to transmit an electrical signal; (iii) instructing at least one reception power device to receive an electrical signal, recording at least one value of the received electrical signals, and sending at least one value of the received electrical signals; (iv) receiving at least one value of the received electrical signals; and (v) analyzing a value of at least one of the received electrical signals to determine order of at least some of the plurality of power devices.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
