Abstract | To prevent noise caused by actuating an internal combustion engine from giving a feeling of discomfort to a user even if the internal combustion engine is actuated during performing of a my room electric power generation mode in a hybrid vehicle which is configured to be electrically connectable to an electric power supply device outside the vehicle.SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle has a my room electric power generation mode as a control mode during stoppage of the vehicle. The my room electric power generation mode is the control mode in which travelling of the vehicle is prohibited and an on-vehicle auxiliary device can be allowed to be actuated by electric power generated by power of an engine, with the electric power supply device not connected to the vehicle. The vehicle is configured in such a way that a user can set an upper limit of noise level (allowable noise level) caused by actuation of the engine when the engine is actuated, in the my room electric power generation mode. When the engine is actuated in the my room electric power generation mode, an ECU of the vehicle controls the engine so that the noise level does not surpass the noise level set by the user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
