Abstract | To achieve arrangement and routing of a relay node even if a shield or a place at which the arrangement of the relay node is impossible exists.SOLUTION: The design method and system for radio sensor network includes: a candidate calculation process for calculating the number of relay nodes and candidates of arrangement thereof for minimizing the number of the relay nodes; a simulation process for executing the simulation of a power consumption and a data arrival rate of a radio sensor network based on the candidates; and an optimization process for optimizing the radio sensor network on the basis of the candidate, the power consumption and the data arrival rate of the radio sensor network, and in the optimization process, calculates a combination of the arrangement of the relay node for minimizing a maximum of the power consumption of the relay node, routing of the radio sensor network and the re-transmission frequency of data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
