Abstract | To provide a tool for easily inserting and extracting a packed member such as a catalyst arranged in a flow channel of a reactor.SOLUTION: There is provided a tool 60 for inserting a packed members (catalyst 50, heat transfer promoter 55) into flow channels (first flow channel 11, second flow channel 21) of a reactor 1 that extends in one direction or for extracting the packed members from the flow channels. The tool comprises a pair of belt parts 61, 61 that is longer than the flow channels and extends in parallel to each other and a plurality of link parts 62 for linking a pair of the belt parts 61, 61 that has a length for a pair of the belt parts 61, 61 to sandwich the packed members between them and is arranged in the extending direction of a pair of the belt parts 61, 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
