Summary:To provide a rotary electric machine in which the end side region of a stator core can be effectively cooled by cooling gas.SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine comprises: a stator 10 having a cylindrical stator core 11; a rotor 20 arranged coaxially with the stator core 11 and in the radial inside of the stator core 11; a baffle member 30 provided at least on one axial end of the stator core 11, and partially covering an air gap G between the stator core 11 and the rotor 20 from the axial outside; and a fan 25 provided on the side opposite to the air gap G side with respect to the baffle member 30, and flowing cooling gas toward the air gap G. The baffle member 30 is arranged coaxially with the stator core 11 and the rotor 20, and is a truncated conical shape tapering from the air gap G side toward the fan 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】冷却ガスにより固定子鉄心の端部側の領域を効果的に冷却できる回転電機を提供する。【解決手段】回転電機は、円筒状の固定子鉄心11を有する固定子10と、固定子鉄心11の径方向の内側において固定子鉄心11と同軸状に配置される回転子20と、固定子鉄心11の軸方向における少なくとも一方の端部に設けられ、固定子鉄心11と回転子20との間のエアギャップGを軸方向の外側から部分的に覆うバッフル部材30と、バッフル部材30に対してエアギャップG側とは反対の側に設けられ、冷却ガスをエアギャップG側に向けて流すためのファン25とを備える。バッフル部材30は、固定子鉄心11および回転子20と同軸状に配置され且つエアギャップG側からファン25に向かって先細り形状となる円錐台形状をなす。【選択図】図1
