In electrical traveling with an automatic driving mode for traveling without acceleration or deceleration operation by a driver, when an other vehicle condition in which there is other vehicle within a predetermined distance of at least one of front and rear of an own vehicle is not satisfied, the electrical traveling is maintained, and when the other vehicle condition is satisfied, transition to the hybrid traveling is allowed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】自動運転を自車周辺の事情を踏まえたより適切なものとする。【解決手段】エンジンの運転を伴わずに走行する電動走行とエンジンの運転を伴って走行するハイブリッド走行とを切り替えて走行するようにエンジンおよびモータを制御する。そして、運転者の加減速操作によらずに走行する自動運転モードで且つ電動走行のときにおいて、自車の前方および後方のうちの少なくとも一方の所定距離内に他車がいる他車条件が成立していないときには、電動走行を維持し、他車条件が成立しているときには、ハイブリッド走行への移行を許容する。【選択図】図3
