Abstract To provide a haptic output apparatus which allows increase of vibration amount in a vibration convergence period without increasing the vibration convergence period.SOLUTION: A haptic output apparatus 10 has a processor 101 which is a control apparatus for carrying out various processing and which outputs a drive signal and a brake signal to an actuator 102 to drive and brake the actuator 102. Specifically, the processor 101 functions as a signal transmission unit for transmitting the drive signal and the brake signal to the actuator 102. The actuator 102 has a function for generating vibration and provides, by generating vibration at the device mounted with the actuator 102, a haptic feedback to a user of the device.
